RAPHAEL NUSSBAUMER, student of Philip A. Draganov’s violin class since over 10 years, wins the 4th prize and the highest prize out of all European participants at the “10th International Fritz Kreisler Violin competition 2022” in Vienna, Austria.


HANI SONG, student of Philip A. Draganov’s violin class for many years and currently student at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater München” won the audition for the position “1st violin tutti” at the Staatskapelle Berlin, Staatsoper unter den Linden.

Laura-Delia Knecht was a member of Draganov`s violin class for 10 years. Today she studies with Esther Hoppe at the Mozarteum Salzburg.


Valentina Paetsch, former pre-college student of Philip A. Draganov’s violin class, winning the audition for the academy position at the Staatskapelle Berlin under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. Congratulations!

Valentina Paetsch comes from a known musicians family in Ticino. She was Draganov`s student at the Pre-College MKZ in Zurich and currently studies with Nora Chastain at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Alexander Won-Ho Kim, former student of Philip A. Draganov’s violin class, entering the semi-finals at renowned ARD Competition in Munich.

Alexander Won-Ho Kim studied in Draganov`s PreCollege class at the ZHdK while attending the K+S High School in Zurich. He currently studies at the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule in Berlin with Antje Weithaas.

Raphael Nussbaumer, student of Philip A. Draganov since many years, is admitted to the semi-final round of the Menuhin Competition 2021, “Junior“ age group, as the only violinist from all Europe. The Menuhin Competition is known as the leading international violin competition for young violinists worldwide.

MAY 2020

David Nebel releases his debut solo CD with violin concertos by Stravinsky and Glass under the label SONY CLASSICAL. He recorded together with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kristian Järvi.

David Nebel started studying with Philip A. Draganov in 2007. Later he studied with Boris Kuschnir in Vienna and Year Kless in Graz, among others.
Today Nebel performs successfully as a soloist.
